The Canadian Timber Wolf coin is the first coin released in the Royal Canadian Mints 3 year long Canadian Wildlife Coin Series program, the second coin is scheduled to be released in March 2011.This silver bullion coin has a beautifully designed Canadian Timber Wolf with the moon and mountain side landscape behind this beautiful Canadian predator. The design is the same as the ½oz silver Timber Wolf released in 2006. The coin is to be minted in a Brilliant Uncirculated condition. The reverse Wolf bullion coin is struck from one ounce of .9999 pure silver and bears a $5 face value, the wolf design is the work of senior mint engraver William Woodruff. The obverse features the effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, created in 2003 by Canadian portrait artist Susanna Blunt.
