New Silver Moose Bullion Coin Released

Silver Moose CoinThe Royal Canadian Mint has just released the fourth coin in its Canadian Wildlife series of silver bullion coins, this fourth release comes fast on the heels of its previous releases (Timberwolf 2011, Grizzly Bear 2011 and Cougar 2012). This coin is the fourth in a series of six coins depicting different species of Canadian wildlife, two additional designs for the series will be released by early 2013. Each of these silver bullion coins has a minted purity of .9999 silver and weighs one full ounce, upto a million of these coins, the reverse of the Moose bullion coin was designed by Senior Mint Engraver William Woodruff who has designed the previous three coins in the series, the obverse of the Moose coin carries the Susanna Blunt effigy of Queen Elizabeth II and the face value. The coins are produced at the Ottawa Mint to the same specifications as the famous Maple Leaf bullion coins, the RCM does not intend for the Wildlife series to compete with sales of the traditional Silver Maple Leaf coins.
