The Silver 2012 Kookaburra Released
An eagerly anticipated release with the extraordinary surge in global demand for silver bullion showing no signs of abating, the 2012 Silver Kookaburra has been released. The one-year-only reverse design depicting the King of the Australian Bush sitting in a eucalypt tree, there is no doubt that this new release will catch the eye of collectors across the globe, this 2012 reverse design which shows the kookaburra bird perched on the branch of a eucalyptus tree amongst its leaves, the bird is shown looking over its left wing with its beak slightly open laughing. In past years the mintage was capped at only 300,000 strikes, however last years release saw the mintage increased to 500,000 owing to the recent jump in demand for bullion products. Each coin also features a legal tender face value of AUS $30, $10 and $1 respective of their sizes, the unique design by Darryl Bellotti which showcases the kookaburra in all its glory. This release marks the twenty third annual issue of the series as they date back to when the first kookaburra appeared in 1990, since its debut the coins have come to be one of the most sought after bullion strikes in the world.
