Australian Sea Life II (The Reef) Hawksbill Turltle
The first coin in the new Australian Sea Life II series will be the Hawksbill Turtle, following on from the original and succesful Australian Sea Life series a new series of five half ounce silver proof coins will be released, each coin will be one half ounce of .999 silver and will have the coloured reverse design. These solitary sea turtles can be found in the coral reefs of northern Australia, listed as endangered the Hawksbill Turtle matures at thirty years of age and has a lifespan of up to fifty years, A adult Hawksbill can grow up to 1 metre in length. The coins reverse depicts a Hawksbill Turtle in colour and includes the Perth Mint P mintmark, also Incorporated into the design are the inscriptions AUSTRALIAN SEA LIFE II – THE REEF and HAWKSBILL TURTLE, the Perth Mint will release no more than 10,000 of these silver proof coins, each coin is housed in a display case with a stunningly illustrated coral reef shipper, and each shipper joins with other shippers in the series to create a superbly illustrated underwater scene. An individually numbered certificate of authenticity is included.
