Deadly & Dangerous Spider Hunting Scorpion

Each released coin in the Deadly & Dangerous series has a color reverse, and are all struck to collector proof quality, with each coin in the series having a limited mintages of 5,000. Each released coin is encapsulated inside an elegant, luxury presentation case made of highly polished wood and protected with a full color outer shipper box emblazoned with the warning DANGER in large letters. All released coins will have a individually numbered certificate of authenticity.

Coin Design

Reverses side of this latest coin release features a fully colored Australian Spider Hunting Scorpion resting on grass preying upon a struck spider, the colored design has been produced with the Perth Mints own coloring process. On the obverses side of the coin features the Ian Rank Broadley’s effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II with the date of issue and denomination for the coin.

Colorization Technology

The Australian Perth Mint employs its own proprietary colorization technology, in which the colors are actually sealed on the coins surface. The vibrant hues and precise execution of this technology create a stunning, full color image on each of the coins released in the series. This coloring technology was first used back in 2008 on the first coin in this very series Deadly & Dangerous-Red Backed Spider, a coin which can cost well over $1000 since it release.
